The Alpha Course

Harthill Community Church regularly runs the The Alpha Course in the Harvest Centre.

The course is designed to introduce people to Christianity and aims to makes links between the Bible and the issues and lifestyles of today’s society. So whether you have never stepped foot in a church or want to explore more about Christianity, The Alpha Course is a friendly and easy place to start discussing the questions we all want answers to. Does God exist? What’s the meaning of life? Is there more to life than this?

Do I need to be a Christian to do the course?

No, you do not need to be a Christian. The course is designed for anyone interested in learning and asking questions about the Christian faith, whether they attend church or not.

Are my questions too controversial for church?

All questions are welcome on the Alpha course. The course was designed to encourage people to feel free to ask the tough questions about life and the Christian faith.

Does the course explore other religions?

The Alpha course is an exploration into the Christian faith only.

What if I try it and don’t want to come back?

The Alpha course aims to be a low-pressure & non-threatening experience. If you don’t feel the course is for you, you are under no obligation to return the following week.
